Hilton has signed a franchise Arrangement with the Gantry Group to open a hotel in London's Stratford under its Curio Collection at 2020. The London Gantry will function as band's 3rd Curio hotel in the united kingdom, next the Trafalgar St James hotel which relaunched under the brand last year, also Lincoln Plaza, which will be set to start later this season. It'll be a brand new 18 storey hotel with 285 bedrooms, bar and restaurant areas and a sky bar with views across the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The Gantry Group, a brand new joint venture between Black Friar Holdings plus a £, 1.1bn institutional investor, will operate the hotel when it opens.
Launched in the year 2014, the Curio Collection by Hilton is a collection of top upscale hotels with personality. Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior VP, development, EMEA, Hilton stated: Stratford is London's fastest growing business and leisure district&hellip, The heritage of the 2012 Summer Olympic games is obvious, with top notch centers in transportation, entertainment, shopping and game, all within walking distance of the Gantry London. Warren Malschinger, director in the Gantry Group added he was excited, to work on the organization's first project in partnership with Hilton. Chris Fegan, manager of design studio ICA, stated: By layering the legacy of Stratford to the design we feel that we've created something that's iconic and will be a distinctive experience for guests. The resort's entrance will include a curved two storey podium, with an external with a skin, of aluminum colored fins. The insides will contrast raw and lavish, and soft and hard, for instance reclaimed chandeliers and velvet furniture. James Byrne, director at Ardmore, which won the £, 77m construct contract and has already worked on the Ned, the Four Seasons at Ten Trinity Square and Corinthia London, said the company was thrilled, to have been selected for the job.
