Venue Finding Executive - Peterborough

Currently looking to take on an experienced “Venue Finding Executive” to take ownership of client requests in relation to destination and venue research, recommendation and proposals. To have and constantly develop a good and varied knowledge of global destinations and venues.

Duties:

  • Take and develop a full brief for a destination and venue finding request.

  • Negotiate the most favourable terms and condition for the client and for the company.

  • Negotiate the most favourable rate of commission where applicable.

  • Endeavour to continually enhance your product knowledge of hotels and venues in order to enable comprehensive and accurate proposals to clients.

  • Look after a small team of very junior apprentices, mentoring them and guiding them.

  • Operate all files in a professional, logical and organised way in accordance with Company procedures.

  • Be able to communicate professionally with all clients, from Personal Assistant to Managing Director Level.

  • Maintain and develop an accurate client database, including a complete client history of each allocated account.

  • Represent the company at industry and client events in an elegant and professional manner.

  • To travel where necessary for inspection trips, familiarisation visits and for on-site Management.

  • To promote team communication and actively be involved in all team discussions and events.

  • Competent and appropriate use of computer and software packages provided.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a very similar role managing events, finding venues.

  • Good international knowledge of venues and events.

  • Ideally worked for an agency before.

  • You do not need experience of managing people but the desire and ability to manage a small team of very junior apprentices is necessary.

  • Ready to take the next step up in your career.

  • Ideally you will be a driver with a clean license.

As an Administration Assistant based at our head office in Peterborough, you will be responsible for assisting with the efficient processing of accommodation requests through our on-line system and researching the perfect venue for our clients requirements. All whilst providing high levels of customer service.

Duties:

  • To assist our Venue Specialists with the administration and placing of the meeting, conference, training and event requirements of our clients at hotels and venues across the UK and internationally.
  • To assist our Venue Specialists with securing the most suitable options for our clients requirements
  • To deal with incoming telephone calls to our office with client/delegate telephone bookings, providing an excellent customer experience in all interactions
  • To adhere to Service Level Agreements in place with our clients, confirming reservations within agreed time frames and communicating effectively with our clients.
  • To assist with general administration tasks and office duties to support the operation of the office as requested by the Senior Venue Specialist.

Requirements:

  • Competent use of IT, including Microsoft Office and internet
  • Experience working in a busy environment
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
