With £, 1.8million spent during the last couple of months, the ICC has seen refreshes on halls 4, 9 and 10 together with four of its government meeting rooms. Among the most noticeable progress continues to be the improvement of large format digital displays throughout mobile displays and the Public Mall. There's also been investment in updating the Wifi along with modernisation of the light through the enrollment, Mall and foyer spaces. 10m refurbishment programme, the £ has supplied a facelift to the biggest level floored space of the site, the 3, 000m², Hall 3, Enrollment Place and Mall in 2015.
Manager of Event Services, Allan Boyle, said: As we celebrate our 25th birthday this year we felt it was time alter the physical feel and look of our spaces to create a level better experience for the clients. The digitisation has opened up the Mall from an action viewpoint enabling customers to market their events, and the Wifi improvements were incredibly essential for delegates to have a convention encounter that was favorable. When it comes to the look, we needed to ensure the spaces felt contemporary and modern without losing the character of the ICC. We're not only looking at halls or rooms separately, but as whole spaces our customers use seamlessly through their event encounter.
The ICC Birmingham knows that listening to its customers and understanding their needs is critical in order to deliver exceptional service and values customer comments. Therefore, the ICC consistently receives a typical score of 9/10, and has ran almost 500 in-depth monthly customer comments surveys since May 2013 via an unaffiliated 3rd party research bureau so far this year 98% of these surveyed have said they'd bring another event at the ICC. The ICC scores 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor visitor reviews, which led to the site receiving the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, given to hospitality companies that consistently delivered a top quality client experience.
Allan remarked: We pride ourself on our customer comments and this runs through the individuals who work here and our organisation. We're determined to keep raising the bar and far of the refurbishment program is in response to comments. We now have the advantage of our 25 years of expertise and influence this to keep the site moving forward. Another phase the renovation will be finished in 2017 focused on executive meeting rooms and added halls as availability permits.
