Overlooking both St Ann's Square and The Great Hall, the Front Room offers striking views of the steel and glass Theatre module, set within the grand Victorian architecture of the former Cotton Exchange. With access via a scenic glass lift in St Ann's Square, the Front Room is a self-contained entertaining space, with its own toilets and bar. The Theatre is a spectacular seven-sided, glass-walled capsule, suspended in the centre of the historic Cotton Exchange. This unique design means all seats are less than nine metres from the circular stage. This unique theatre in-the-round is ideal for a conference, product launch, awards ceremony, and is even a licensed wedding venue. A screen can be set up for a projector and 2-3 sections of seats hidden behind it for an end on theatre style as well. It is a lovely space and benefits from our excellent technical sound and lighting engineers and event staff working on your event as well.

With its sliding partitions and flexible seating, walking into The Studio is a new experience with each visit. An intimate 90-seat space, The Studio welcomes nationally renowned touring companies alongside Royal Exchange productions, showcasing an eclectic programme that includes performances by local communities and our Young Company. It can be used for student showcases, product launches, rehearsals, dinners, drinks receptions and private speeches and meetings. AV equipment is available as well as our excellent sound and lighting engineers and event staff.

A dramatic setting for pre-show drinks and a peaceful escape for afternoon tea, the Great Hall has something for everyone. Shop for unique handcrafted gifts in the Theatre Shop, make use of the free wifi or enjoy freshly made food and snacks from the Cafe - you can even pull up a sofa in the Lounge, where's there's always something to learn. With a capacity of 700 people in the space it is ideal for balls, drinks receptions or buffet meals, with speeches and awards ceremonies. For sit down meals the maximum our onsite caterers can seat is 120. The Great Hall is an ideal location for a grand event and is sure to impress your attendees.

The lounge is a small meeting room off from the Great Hall. It is great for a small, relaxed meeting, and is in close proximity to all the amenities in the Great Hall. A great additional breakout space for a conference as well. Ask for more details.
