Nestling at the foot of the South Downs on the stunning
Sussex Coastline, the Devonshire Quarter site covers 12 acres in the heart of
Eastbourne. Only a 7-minute walk from Eastbourne train station, and with
excellent transport links to Gatwick Airport and beyond, the Devonshire Quarter
is ideally situated to accommodate the needs of any meeting, conference, awards
ceremony, or gala dinner. The Welcome building encompasses two large exhibition
halls with almost 900 square metres of events space, along with breakout and
hospitality areas including the DQ Terrace Bar & Café which benefits from
alfresco seating on the terrace with stunning views across the award-winning
Devonshire Park. The Winter Gardens has recently re-opened after an extensive
3-year refurbishment. This work has included the replacement of the Stage, a
new Bar area, the addition of a lift from the Foyer to the Floral hall, new LED
lighting and an upgraded sound system. The Congress theatre has also undergone
a full renovation. This work has included a complete refit of the foyer and
seating areas, brand new lighting and sound systems, and the addition of
state-of-the-art ventilation and heating. The International Lawn tennis centre
is home to some unique events space including the spectacular Hardwick suite
with stunning views overlooking centre court and the park. Completing our World
class venue offering is the Locker Room. This unique building offers two large
meeting spaces for up to 60 people, and two smaller meeting rooms for up to 20
people.
The Shackleton Hall is one of our biggest rooms at the Devonshire Quarter with 502m2 of floorspace. This hall is perfect for award ceremony's, presentations and other large conferences, holding 650 people in theatre style.
The Mallory Hall is directly opposite the Shackleton Hall on the lower ground floor of The Welcome Building. This room has 381m2 of floorspace making it a perfect room for large conferences, exhibitions and events that use the Shackleton Hall too.
The Orwell and The Johnson room are directly next to each other on the 5th floor of The Welcome Building. They both hold up to 60 people in theatre style making them perfect for cooperate meetings and presentations, these rooms have outstanding views of the International Lawn Tennis Centre courts.
The Grange and Cornfield Rooms are located in the Locker Room at The Devonshire Quarter. The Grange is on the ground floor and The Cornfield is on the 1st floor, they both have incredible views looking across the stunning Devonshire Park. Holding up to 60 people in theatre style and 60 in cabaret, these rooms have space to cater for a variety of events/meetings including presentations, training sessions as well as corporate lunches.
The Grassington Boardroom is located on the ground floor in The Locker Room, and the Chiswick Boardroom is on the 1st floor in The Locker Room. These rooms are the smallest we have across the Devonshire Quarter site, best for holding 8 people in boardroom style, often used for smaller meetings.
The Floral Hall is located in the 19th Century Winter Gardens, it has recently undergone a large refurbishment. This work has included the replacement of the Stage, a new Bar area, the addition of a lift from the Foyer to the Floral hall, new LED lighting and an upgraded sound system. The Floral Hall holds 500 cabaret style, making it the perfect space for large gala dinners and award ceromancies.
The Hardwick Suite is located in the International Tennis Centre at the Devonshire Quarter. On the 3rd Floor, the room has outstanding views of the park and specifically centre court. The Hardwick Suite holds 150 people in Theatre Style, and 100 in cabaret, this room is perfect for company presentations, training days and other meetings as well as less formal functions.
