About Venue

The Memoir Club (formerly Ambassadors Bloomsbury) is a 4-star independent boutique hotel located in Bloomsbury, just a 5-minute walk from Euston Station and 10-minute walk from Kings Cross St Pancras. It has 450 sqm of meeting space comprising three suites that can be divided into seven spaces with high-spec inbuilt AV for both in person and hybrid events. A full refurbishment was completed in 2025. The highly flexible and stylish meeting spaces are perfect for a host of corporate and social events for up to 300. The Memoir Club offers leading technology and inspiring design teamed with bespoke food and beverage options. Keynes, the largest suite, can accommodate up to 144 in a cabaret setting or 264 theatre style. It takes its name from Memoir Club member John Maynard Keynes, one of the most influential economists and philosophers of the twentieth century. The Memoir Club has 100 bright guestrooms that feature all the modern comforts such as Apple TV, Nespresso coffee machines, free-high speed Wi-Fi, eco-friendly amenities, and plenty of charging points for tech-savvy travellers. To help guests stay on track with fitness goals, there is a gym onsite. Adeline, the hotel’s bar and restaurant, is designed to make you feel at home, and just a little bit glamorous. You’ll find Eastern Mediterranean dishes on the a la carte menu and small plates menus, which are inspired by Virginia Woolf’s extensive travels. Fixed price menus and bespoke private dining menus are available for groups and parties. Special dietary requirements can be catered for. This contemporary hotel, although grounded in the present, is inspired by the Memoir Club created in 1920, which saw the regrouping of 12 friends drawn from the deeply influential group of writers, intellectuals, philosophers and artists known as the Bloomsbury Set. Its legacy can be experienced throughout the hotel, from the art deco style interiors to the collection of commissioned artworks, such as the Virginia Woolf portrait that sits in the lobby.

The Keynes Suite (205 sqm) on the ground floor is our largest room and is completely pillar free. It can accommodate up to 264 theatre style or 144 in a cabaret set-up. The suite has one 136-inch screen and two 98-inch screens with inbuilt audio The Keynes Suite has air conditioning and lighting controls. It can be partitioned into a smaller space called Keynes 1+2 with a separate catering space in the Keynes anteroom or split into Keynes 1 and 2. There are plenty of power sockets throughout the suite (48), plus complimentary hi-speed Wi-Fi. The space is fully accessible. It takes its name from Memoir Club member John Maynard Keynes, one of the most influential economists and philosophers of the twentieth century.

The Woolf Suite - 180

The Woolf Suite (142 sqm) is pillar free and can accommodate up to 180 theatre style or 90 in a cabaret set-up. It has a 110-inch screen with inbuilt audio, plus two 98-inch screens. The Woolf Suite has air conditioning and lighting controls. The Woolf Suite can be partitioned into a smaller space called Woolf 1+2 with a separate catering space in the interconnected Woolf anteroom. There are plenty of power sockets throughout the space (54), plus complimentary hi-speed Wi-Fi. The Woolf Suite is fully accessible. Room hire is VAT exempt. The space is named after the English writer – and Memoir Club member– Adeline Virginia Woolf. She was considered one of the most important modernist 20th-century authors. Look out for the hidden prose extracted from Virginia Woolf’s novels that has been woven into the carpet in The Woolf Suite.

The Club Suite - 70

The Club Suite (104 sqm) is beautifully styled and features hi-spec inbuilt AV. The room has a 75-inch screen, plus two 68-inch screens, and lends itself to a variety of set-ups for smaller meetings or split as syndicate rooms. Each of the screens in The Club suite also has whiteboards that can used alongside the screen. The Club Suite can be split into three rooms or two sections combined and a smaller boardroom. Up to 56 delegates can be accommodated in a cabaret set-up; 80 theatre; 40 classroom; and 25 boardroom, hollow square or U-shape. There are plenty of power sockets in the space (56), plus complimentary hi-speed Wi-Fi. Lunch and refreshments are served in the adjacent foyer. There is a discreet pillar at the end of the suite but this does not typically restrict any views. The space is fully accessible. Room hire is VAT exempt.
