Armada House is a brand-new, beautiful events space in the
heart of Bristol. This historic Edwardian building maintains many of its
original architectural features, including a gorgeous Elizabethan-style
staircase and two Jacobean fireplaces. Armada House combines its breath-taking
décor and gorgeous historic features with all the modern amenities you could
possibly need for an unforgettable event. With two ground-floor events spaces, five first-floor meeting rooms, and a beautiful rooftop space, this venue is perfect for any kind of event,
from weddings and birthdays to board meetings and product launches.
Named for Queen Elizabeth II, who placed the first non-operator telephone call from Telephone Avenue to Edinburgh in 1958, this space is fit for royalty. Spacious and regal, with floods of natural light, the Elizabeth Suite is equipped with a beautiful marble-topped bar and stage, along with a sound system and Rako mood lighting to set the scene for your dream event. The space can seat 170 people and has space for 120 standing. The Cabot Room is a large, airy and versatile space with its own stage and can seat 200 people theatre style. Internet, telephone and power points are situated around the room. The room is air-conditioned and has natural daylight with blackout blinds. Adjacent to the room is a licensed bar area, ideal for private parties and events.
With original flooring and a magnificent 17th century fireplace, the Brunel Room combines modern comforts with a historic atmosphere. Enjoy floods of natural light in this space, ideal for intimate occasions. The Brunel room is named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a ground-breaking engineer best known for designing the Clifton Suspension Bridge. This space seats up for 50 guests, or 40 standing guests.
The Wallace lounge boasts plenty of natural light and period features. With stunning chandeliers, a private marble-topped, curved oak bar, and beautiful décor this room is ideal for a sophisticated, luxurious event. This space is named after one half of Bristol's most famous stop-motion due, Wallace and Gromit. There is capacity for 40 seated guests or 60 standing.
With a small, marble-topped conference table, this space is ideal for small teams or a break-out room. Hire of the Blackwell includes all-day access to the kitchen with unlimited tea and coffee. The Blackwell room is named after Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to earn a medical degree in the United States, who was born in Bristol.
Perfect for meetings and teleconferences, the Library room is cosy, sophisticated, and intimate. Hire of the Library includes all-day access to the kitchen with unlimited tea and coffee. This space can seat up to 10 people boardroom style.
This meeting space has plenty of natural light, ensuring a productive working space for your team. Hire of the Clifton room includes all-day access to the kitchen and unlimited tea and coffee. The Clifton room is named after Clifton Observatory, our sister venue. This space can seat up to 12 people boardroom style or 30 theatre style.
