About venue
White brickwork walls and black wood flooring create a strong theatre aesthetic. Rigging and ropes hang playfully from the bar's ceiling and big metal prop trunks provide a place to rest pints. There's a playful feel, like the oversized wingback armchairs and a welcome desk made of showbiz lighting. Bedroom designs are all inspired by iconic shows. One's set in Chicago, with art deco detailing and bowler hat lampshades. A second is themed around a land of rainbows and ruby slippers, with witchy green coloured seating. Finally, the suites are perfect for musical masked phantoms, with red flower motifs across the carpets and a large baroque mirror .
Our designer has taken inspiration from London's West End musical showstoppers. The spectacle starts with the outside lights of theatreland. Then, as red velvet curtains gently rise, the magic begins. Suddenly you could be anywhere at all - taken there by a cast of actors, a well-tuned chorus, a few perfect props, and a well-penned score. A night at the theatre stays with you long after the curtain comes down.
