Hotel accommodation, sourced — and outgrown on purpose.
Hotels are the fastest placement route in our UK network — for emergency first nights, group programmes, project teams and events. They are one channel in a managed accommodation lifecycle, not the destination: when a stay outgrows a hotel, we move it into self-contained accommodation on the same file.
Quick answer
Jigsaw sources vetted UK hotels at negotiated rates, 24/7 for contracted clients, with one consolidated, reference-coded invoice — then manages the transition to serviced apartments or corporate accommodation the moment a hotel stops being the suitable, economic answer. Established in 2003. Free to the client: our commission is paid by the operator.
What we source hotels for
Emergency first nights
The fastest compliant roof for displaced households — booked, held and documented while the repair timeline and onward accommodation are worked out.
Emergency accommodationGroup & programme stays
Multi-room hotel programmes for decant waves, key-worker cohorts, project mobilisations and event delegations — managed as one programme, not a batch of bookings.
Housing decantsCrew & project teams
Airline crew, contractors and travelling teams on negotiated corporate rates, coordinated with travel logistics where needed.
Airline crew accommodationEvent accommodation
Delegate and organiser room blocks alongside our venue-finding service — the same negotiation leverage applied to bedrooms as to event space.
Venue findingWhen a hotel is the right answer — and when it is not
An honest hotel service tells you when to stop using hotels. Evaluate on whole-stay economics — nights × rate + meals + re-placement risk + admin — never on the nightly rate alone.
Hotels win when
- A household needs a roof within hours — hotels are the fastest compliant route.
- The stay is short: roughly the first one to seven nights.
- A group needs many rooms at once, tonight, in one place.
- Crew or project teams need flexible night-by-night patterns near a site or airport.
- Delegates need rooms attached to an event programme.
Move to self-contained accommodation when
- The repair or reinstatement will run beyond about a week — kitchens and laundry flip the whole-stay economics.
- A family needs separate bedrooms and living space, not adjoining hotel rooms.
- Meal costs and folio administration are compounding daily.
- The household’s wellbeing needs a home, not a room — school runs, cooking, routine.
Our supply model, stated plainly
A vetted network, not owned stock
Jigsaw does not own hotels — placements draw on a vetted UK network built since 2003. That means property-type diversity and no incentive to fill our own rooms; it also means we never promise guaranteed availability, because no honest provider can.
Escalation across channels
When first-choice hotel supply is full or unsuitable — saturated city, major event, remote area — the search widens across accommodation types and adjacent areas against the real suitability needs of the household, with the trade-offs documented so you decide with full information.
One file, whatever changes
Hotel tonight, apartment next week, extension next month — the references, reporting and audit trail continue unbroken. One consolidated invoice per case, coded to your claim, PO or cost-centre references.
Hotel accommodation questions answered
Is Jigsaw a hotel booking agency?
No. Hotel sourcing is one channel inside a wider accommodation service. We place households and teams into hotels when speed or the situation demands it, and transition them into serviced apartments, self-catering houses or corporate accommodation when the stay length or household needs make a hotel the wrong answer — on the same file, with the same point of contact.
How fast can a hotel placement happen?
Hotels are the fastest placement route in the network — often same-day for emergency displacements, subject to local availability. For contracted clients, the out-of-hours line captures the brief and sources options around the clock.
When is a hotel the wrong answer?
Usually beyond about a week. No kitchen means paid meals for every household member every day, single rooms strain families, and folios multiply into an audit problem. That is exactly when we move the placement into self-contained accommodation rather than extending the hotel by default.
Do you guarantee hotel availability?
No provider honestly can — and we won’t pretend otherwise. What we evidence instead is the escalation route: multi-channel sourcing across hotels, aparthotel-style inventory and serviced apartments, widened search areas assessed against the household’s real suitability needs, and documented options with trade-offs when a market is genuinely saturated.
Who pays Jigsaw?
The accommodation operator pays our commission — the service is free to the client. The commercial model is stated up front, and suitability criteria plus reporting are the safeguards that keep it from biasing placement decisions.
Can hotel programmes be billed centrally?
Yes — one consolidated invoice per case or programme month, coded to your claim, PO or cost-centre references, with weekly cost reporting on live emergency cases.
Need rooms — or the whole lifecycle?
Send one brief. We source the hotel, and if the stay grows, we manage what comes after it too.
